Beaches of the Crozon Peninsula : The most beautiful places !
The most beautiful beaches of the Peninsula of Crozon
The peninsula of Crozon is one of the most touristic destinations in Brittany. Located in the heart of the peninsula and surrounded by the sea, this popular destination is ideal for families and friends. To make your vacation unforgettable, no less than 16 beaches are located near our campground. Swimming, fishing, surfing… There is something for everyone!
Beach of Portzic
Very sheltered, as it is surrounded by cliffs at both ends, the Porztic beach is not very crowded, even during the summer. Located in the bay of Douarnenez, just next to the beach of Morgat, this site benefits from an exceptional setting and remains relatively protected from the wind. Swimming is cool, but pleasant. You will also find some pebbles, so don’t hesitate to bring a pair of shoes if you are sensitive to them.
Beach of Morgat
The beach of Morgat appeared, in 2016, in 14th position in the ranking of the most beautiful beaches in the world. This ranking established by the famous British newspaper The Guardian illustrates, as the former mayor of Crozon Daniel Moysan reminds us, “the attachment of the English to this beach”. As one of the most beautiful beaches in Finistère, it is nestled between the marina and the tip of Rulianec. Very family oriented, swimming is safe but not supervised. The part near the marina is more family-oriented and is the subject of many activities in summer. To the east, towards the tip of Rulianec, the site is narrower and there are many pebbles, especially at high tide.
Aber Beach
1250 m long, the Aber beach on the Crozon peninsula is a vast expanse of fine sand and enjoys an exceptional natural setting, wild and protected. It is considered as one of the largest sandy beaches of Crozon (at low tide) and is located in front of the Aber Island (east of the tip of Trébéron), which can be reached on foot at low tide only. You can come to swim, walk or practice fishing. Surfers and kitesurfers also make it their playground, especially during competitions. Because of its singularity and its natural beauty, the Aber beach is one of the most frequented of the peninsula.
Beach of Trez Bellec
Located in Telgruc sur Mer, near the city center, this beach is easy to access and is therefore ideal for relaxing and convivial moments with the family. Facing the bay of Douarnenez and protected from the currents, the beach of Trez Bellec, more than one kilometer long, is famous for the numerous activities that can be practiced there. Indeed, located behind the dunes, the nautical center offers various rentals as well as occasional courses for water sports enthusiasts: kayak, wave-ski, kitesurf, catamaran and sand yacht. Note also that restaurants and sanitary facilities are located nearby. Be careful though, this beach is not supervised, even during the summer period.
Beach of Kersiguénou
Very popular with kitesurfing enthusiasts, this wild beach of fine sand on the Crozon peninsula is located in the Anse de Dinan. You can swim there as well as walk around. Well hidden, easy to access and not very well known by holiday makers, this beach is mainly occupied by the local inhabitants. To get there, follow the direction of Camarat-sur-Mer by the D8 from the center of Crozon and turn left towards Kersiguénou. A parking lot at 30 m from the beach is waiting for you !
La Palue and Lostmarc’h
Between the tip of Dinan and the Cap de la Chèvre are two famous beaches of the Peninsula: La Palue and Lostmarc’h. They are very popular with surfers, but also with vacationers and locals looking for picturesque Breton landscapes. To get there, you will cross small villages where traditional Breton houses, called “penty”, are spread out. If swimming is forbidden, there is no doubt that you will find in return what you need to immerse yourself in this wild and authentic Brittany.
But Crozon and its surroundings have much more to offer! The beach of the Source, of Poul, of Goulien, of Veryac’h, of Pen-Hat, of Corréjou, of Kerloc’h… are as many spectacular sites to visit which testify to the richness and the unequalled beauty of the Breton landscapes.
